The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC), launched in 2024, is for youth ages 14-18 from various California communities who are eager to positively impact their schools or communities and are passionate about sustainability and environmental issues.
The YAC is piloting program elements and ensuring the programs are youth-centered. YAC implements local projects, including assessing litter conditions, conducting cleanups, implementing litter education and awareness campaigns, and installing receptacles.
