Keep California Beautiful has partnered with California Volunteers’ California Climate Action Corps, to expand climate volunteer opportunities throughout the state. We look forward to working with public agencies, California Tribal Governments, nonprofit organizations, and educational institutions to support local climate initiatives through this partnership. We will offer in-person volunteer opportunities and connect Californians taking individual action at home. We invite eligible entities to join us in this effort, please see below for opportunities to collaborate with us.
California Climate Action Corps Host Partners application opens February 23 and General Public Partners opens March 2, 2026.
Join KCB in taking simple steps to make a difference. The Climate Action Counts campaign is uniting ONE MILLION Californians to take everyday climate actions for collective impact. From composting at home to planting native trees and supporting local farmers, these small, every day actions can create big impacts in our homes and neighborhoods, building stronger, more resilient communities. Take the pledge and join this growing community making a difference together.
One-time funding is available to eligible entities to support direct climate volunteer engagement events.
Microgrants are now open, with priority given to events scheduled in September for Climate Action Counts Month, so early applications are encouraged. Eligible entities include public agencies, California Tribal Governments, nonprofit organizations, and educational institutions.
Microgrant award tiers are based on the minimum number of volunteers engaged at the service event, as outlined in the application. All eligible entities are strongly encouraged to apply and take advantage of this opportunity.
Community Climate Action Days are more than community service events — they celebrate all that makes California communities unique: our food, our culture, and our deep commitment to a safer, greener and more resilient future for generations to come. These service days combine the forces of the California Service Corps, local community partners, leaders, nonprofits, elected officials and hundreds of volunteers in a powerful day of service.
