California State Parks Clean-Up

California is home to some of the most pristine parks in the world. Califonia Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for managing 280 park units which include over 85 percent of the worlds old growth redwood forests, fragile deserts and over 280 miles of coastline.

We at Keep California Beautiful would like to encourage every Californian to do their part to protect these valuable recreational, cultural, and wildlife rich resources. The California State Parks Foundation has created a Park Champions Program to help our State Parks cope with budget cuts. They also organize an annual Earth Day Restoration and Cleanup. In addition California Department of Parks and Recreation has a way for you to get involved. To find out how visit their Volunteers in Parks page.
