Build Excitement Around Recycling This Fall

Greetings,
With just over a month until the kick-off of Recycle-Bowl 2016 and 65 days until America Recycles Day, we want to be sure you have all the resources and tools you need to make this year’s programs the best yet! Keep reading for details on registration incentives and free downloads.
To help you in planning your events, please participate in our Recycle-Bowl and America Recycles Day webinar next Thursday from 3-4 PM ET. Click here to register. We’ll have participants from past years share their experience and give you a first look at this year’s exciting plans. For those of you planning events in the workplace, we have another webinar focused on planning employee engagement events for America Recycles Day. Register for the Recycling@Work webinar here from 2-3 PM ET on Sep. 23.
As always, we are here to help you through the entire process, from planning to execution. Please contact us if we can help you in any way.

Last year, the Rescue Mission of Trenton broke the world record for the largest clothing drive as their event for America Recycles Day!

Recycle-Bowl: K-12 Recycling Competition

Participation in Recycle-Bowl is a great way to educate students and community members about recycling. We have educational resources to teach your students about recycling and waste management as well as fact sheets to help you make teaching recycling fun and interesting. If your school isn’t competing, let them know about the competition by sharing this page of 5 simple steps to participate.
Registration for Recycle-Bowl is open until Friday, Oct. 14. Information on registration and account setup can be found here.

America Recycles Day

Although still a couple of months away, America Recycles Day is fast approaching!
Events registered before Oct 1. will automatically be entered into a drawing for a limited number of America Recycles Day collateral kits, which include recycled-content pencils and stickers. So register now to be entered in the drawing! Keep Brownsville (TX) Beautiful and Keep Norfolk Beautiful have already registered and are ready to go. Will you be next?
Resource Spotlight

If you’re looking to help “curb” contamination in your curb-side recycling program, America Recycles Day is a great opportunity for you to inform your community what does and does not belong in the bin. We have free postermagnet and flyer designs to help you actively educate your networks. One of our very favorite resources (and one that we get lots of positive feedback on) is the “10 in the Bin” poster, which clearly shows the top 10 most recycled items. Download the poster now by clicking on the image, or click here for more sizes.
